A Mothers Pain

It was one phone call that ended the world that day

He was struck in the head,they said.

A flash of 30 seconds and his head swallowed the lead forever sleep pill.

Any other day turned into a tragedy, with one phone call.

Now everyone mourns,

but no one knows a mother's pain.

No reason to get up

to eat,

They all cry and grieve, but no one knows a mothers pain.

A piece of her fades into the blackness of his grave,

nothing can brighten up her day. 

As her heart beats a million times a minute, her mind floats back to earth
As she walks away from his final resting place.
